Dotomi, Inc. is rethinking the way marketers manage online display advertising with an approach it calls 'Personalized Media'. Although originally founded in 2003, its history can be traced back to 1995 and a lone Israeli soldier named Yair Goldfinger. While in the army, Yair became passionate about effective communication. That passion was ignited further as his tenure as a soldier came to an end: Yair found he needed a better way of keeping in touch with ex-army friends and colleagues. His brainstorm ultimately morphed into the phenomenon of ICQ, a product more commonly known today as Instant Messaging, eventually being acquired by AOL. With Yair's help, Dotomi leadership grew in the form of a tremendous board of successful and proven online executives, including Scott Kurnit of About.com and Jonathan Selig of Akamai. Yair continues to be active at Dotomi as its Chief Technology Officer, continuing daily on his passionate push for the power of personalized media.
