Prior to Joining Fiduciary Counselors, Ms. Klam was the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for LXR, Inc., a biotech start-up working in the area of stem cell technology and storage.
She recruited and built a team of scientists and administrators and led the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedure, Safety and Quality systems in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Before LXR, Ms. Klam was the Senior Director of Operations for the National Tissue Services of the American Red Cross.
She was responsible for operations across the U.S., led the centralization of 36 field units into six area offices and managed the implementation of centralized business systems including installation of hardware and software.
Previously, she was Director of Administration and led the human resources, financial administration, strategic planning, information systems and public relations functions.
Prior to her work at the American Red Cross, Ms. Klam was a founding partner in Competitive Dynamics, a consulting firm specializing in the service industry.
In addition to providing client services, she was responsible for developing human resource and financial systems for the firm.
Ms. Klam received her B.A.
from Newcomb College of Tulane University in 1968.
She has had extensive laboratory and classroom training in organizational development, group process, adult education, consulting, counseling and instructional design including courses at University of Virginia, Georgetown University, American University, George Washington University, MATC and NTL.
She attended the Executive Program – Partners in Organization Leadership at the John F.
Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, 2000.
