Mr. Chris J.
Calderwood is a Director of Research at Mizuho Securities Asia Ltd.
He joined Mizuho (London) in early 2007 as the Global Equity Strategist, before becoming Head of Equity Sales to EU clients in 2009.
His recent move to Hong Kong to become the Director of Research for Asia ex-Japan marks a return to the region for Mr. Calderwood, who has split his 20-year brokerage career almost equally between London and Tokyo.
He started in London as part of the Global Economics & Strategy team for BZW, before moving to Tokyo where he ultimately served as Chief Economist.
After a short stint back in the UK, he returned to Tokyo with Jardine Fleming - initially as Chief Economist, then as Head of Research.
He remained with the firm as Director of Research for Japan through the mergers which created the new JPMorgan Securities, before returning to London with JPMorgan as Deputy Director of Corporate Research in Europe.
