Don Stuart

Mr. Donald J.
Stuart, CFA, is a President & Executive Chair at Dixon Mitchell Investment Counsel, Inc. He joined Dixon Mitchell shortly after the firm’s inception in 2000 to work in the areas of client relations and strategy development.
Today, Mr. Stuart serves as liaison to independent financial planners, investment advisors, and institutional contacts and writes many of the publications that appear on this site.
He also sits on Dixon Mitchell’s investment committee, where he reviews portfolio structure and contributes to the evaluation of recommendations put forward by the firm’s analytical team.
Mr. Stuart began his investment career in 1993 with a national bank-owned investment dealer, where he honed a broad range of skills spanning the full spectrum of wealth management.
He is a graduate of both the University of British Columbia and the University of Copenhagen.
