Prior to founding Cimarron Healthcare Capital, James spent 10 years at Genstar Capital, a middle-market private equity firm with over $3.0 billion in assets, where he led the healthcare services investment effort and was a member of the firm’s investment committee.
Prior to that, James worked at MedEquity Investors, a healthcare-focused growth equity fund in Boston.
He began his career as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in the Global Healthcare Group in New York.
James earned an MBA from Harvard University and a BA in English from Brigham Young University.
