První energetická a.s., PEAS was a trading company, specialized in the purchase and sale of electric power in the wholesale market both in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. PEAS within J&T FINANCE GROUP A.S, was the only electricity trading house in the energy sector. Due to its proactive approach to auctions of cross-border transfer capacities the company ranked among major exporters of electric power from the Czech Republic. At the same time, the company cooperated with independent power producers, IPP, not only in the form of single purchases, but also systematically taking over responsibility for a variance. PEAS placed emphasis on expertise and commitment of its employees. It also strived to develop business relationships with all major electricity trading companies. The company's aim was to continue improving its position in the Czech and Slovak market and become one of the major electricity exporters in the Western market. At the same time, it plan to develop import opportunities and expand cooperation with independent electricity producers, which is one of the company long-term priorities. Finally, it also wish to maintain the reputation of a trustworthy, reliable, flexible and open company. PEAS had been established in 1994 and was headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic.
