Eurotunnel SA provides activities including design, financing, construction and operation of a direct link between the UK and mainland Europe. It operates a fleet of 25 shuttle trains to transport cars, coaches and trucks and grants access to passenger and freight trains from railway companies. The tunnel is open to freight traffic ('Le Shuttle Freight' and 'Rail Freight') and to passenger traffic ('Eurostar' and 'Le Shuttle Tourist') since 1994. It was founded in August 1986 and is headquartered in Paris, France.

Eurotunnel operates shuttle trains which carry cars, coaches and trucks. Eurotunnel manages the infrastructure of the Channel Tunnel and receives toll revenues from other train operating companies whose trains pass through the Tunnel.
