China Southern Asset Management Co., Ltd. (CSAM) is an independent Chinese fund management firm which was founded in 1998. Headquartered in Shenzhen, the firm launched China's first listed open-ended fund in 2004 and manages a range of close-ended and open-ended investment funds for institutional clients and private individuals. They are one of the investment managers selected by the Chinese government to manage an institutional mandate for the National Social Security Fund. In 2007, CSAM acquired QDII status (Qualified Domestic Institutional Investors) allowing them to invest in the overseas capital markets under the foreign exchange control system in China. They announced the launching, in cooperation with US-based Mellon Financial Corporation, of their first QDII investment fund in 2007.

Nuode Asset Management Co., Ltd. (Nuode AM) is the fund management subsidiary of Tsinghua Holdings Co., Ltd., ultimately held by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Formerly known as Lord Abbett China Asset Management Co. Ltd., the firm was founded in 2006 as a joint venture between Lord Abbett & Co. LLC, Changjiang Securities Co. Ltd. and Tsinghua Holdings Co. They subsequently changed their name to Nuode Fund Management Co. Ltd. Headquartered in Shanghai, Nuode AM manages mutual funds for individual and institutional investors.

Penghua Fund Management Co., Ltd. (Penghua) is an independent Chinese investment management firm which was founded in 1998 to manage third party asset, principally through equities and fixed-income. In 2007 they set up a joint venture with Eurizon Financial Group (Intesa Sanpaolo), selling half of their capital to the Italian firm and Guosen Securities Co. Ltd. Headquartered Shenzhen, Penghua manages a range of mutual funds, including open- and closed-end funds, for institutional and retail investors.
