Joe Geofroy has overall responsibilities for Convedia's research and development activities and is instrumental in shaping and managing the corporation’s product and technology assets.
Joe brings more than two decades of experience in the telecommunications industries to Convedia and a wealth of expertise in carrier class hardware and broadband systems design.
Most recently, Joe lead Starvision's development team and was responsible for the design and development of a multipoint conferencing bridge for IP and ATM networks.
Previously, at MPR Teltech, he led the development of MPEG-2 broadband equipment for carriers including hardware encoders, decoders and a video on demand system.
Mr. Geofroy also spent 3 years working for PMC (now known as PMC-Sierra) and was responsible for the development of PMC's first multichip module.
Mr. Geofroy received his B.Sc.
in Electrical Engineering from Lakehead University in Canada.
