Mr. O'Brien is a Senior Portfolio Manager and a member of the Global Research Growth, Global Large Cap Growth, European Growth and UK Growth teams.
He joined Alliance Capital in London in September 2005, having previously worked at American Express Asset Management International for 17 years.
At American Express Mr. O'Brien worked as a Pan-Asian and Global Portfolio Manager from 1988 - 1999, was the Head of Global Business Development from 2000 - 2002 and CEO of the International Asset Management business from 2002 - 2005.
Prior to this he worked for UBS (1987 - 1988) and Nomura International (1985 - 1987) - both in London - in their Pan-Asian institutional equity sales departments.
Mr. O'Brien earned an M.
Phil.
In International Relations from Cambridge University and holds a BA in History from Vassar College.
