Matthew Berg

Matthew Berg is the Executive Director of the Late-Stage Venture group at Manhattan West where he is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and providing due diligence for unique late-stage private investment opportunities.In addition to growing the Late-Stage Venture research process, Matthew will focus on developing relationships with prospective investors and potential portfolio companies.
Prior to Manhattan West, Matthew worked at Polarity Investment Partners where he directed long/short public market investing in technology, industrials, and automation.
Matt has been a research analyst and portfolio manager for the past 20 years for leading hedge funds including York Capital, Lonestar Capital, and Highbridge Capital.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and a Masters in International Affairs in International Finance and Business from Columbia University.
Matt served on The Willows Community School Finance Committee and as President of Westside Premier Soccer Club.
Matt lives in Cheviot Hills with his wife, son, and daughter.
