Prior to joining Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers, Mr. Stelmach was a Managing Director at Steinberg Priest & Sloane Capital Management in New York, where he created and managed a hedge fund and long-only positions focused on the debt and public equity of leveraged companies.
Before that, he was a Managing Director and High Yield Portfolio Manager at the Carlyle Group.
He was a Senior Vice President and the Chief Investment Officer of TIG Holdings, Inc, an insurance holding company with over $6 billion in total assets.
He has also held various positions at Aetna Life Insurance and Annuity including Vice President and Co-Head of Fixed Income Investments where he managed a $6 billion diversified portfolio of bond and stocks and mutual funds.
He has broad capital markets experience.
He is an observer on the board of directors for OnFiber and a Senior Advisor & SBIC Director at TeleSoft.
Mr. Stelmach received an M.B.A.
in Finance and International Business from University of Chicago, and A.B.
in Economics and Mathematics from Dartmouth College.
