Mr. Philip J.
Roth is Chief Technical Market Analyst at Miller Tabak + Co. LLC.
He joined Miller Tabak in February 2002 after a long distinguished career at Morgan Stanley.
He came to Morgan Stanley through Dean Witter Reynolds, which he joined in October, 1989.
He has several years experience, including E.F.
Hutton (from 1979 until 1987) and then, Shearson when it merged with Hutton.
Before 1979, he was a market analyst for Merrill Lynch and for Loeb Rhoades.
A former Director of the New York Society of Security Analysts and past President and long time Board Member of the Market Technicians Association, Mr. Roth was among the first recipients of the Chartered Market Technician designation.
He was voted No.
1 in Charting and Technical Analysis in the 2001 Reuters survey.
Mr. Roth earned a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame and did graduate work in economics at Rutgers.
Mr. Roth is a frequent market commentator in the printed media and on CNBC.
He has been teaching a graduate level course in Technical Analysis at Fordham University for more than five years and has lectured at Rutgers, Cornell, University of Richmond, Baruch, Howard and Tulane.
