Mr. Walter is chief operating officer, treasurer, and a member of the Investment Committee.
Before joining Kayne Anderson Rudnick in 2000, Mr. Walter was the chief administrative officer at ABN AMRO Inc., the U.S.-based, investment-banking arm of ABN-AMRO Bank NV.
Before the acquisition of The Chicago Corporation by ABN AMRO in 1997, he served in a similar capacity at the target firm.
Mr. Walter also served as chair of the Accounting and Finance Department at Northeastern Illinois University where he taught theoretical finance and business strategy.
Mr. Walter earned a B.A.
in mathematics from Knox College, where he serves as a trustee, and an M.A.
in economics from Indiana University.
He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
