Mr. Uhl joined FBR in October 2004 as senior vice president and senior analyst covering the specialty pharmaceutical sector, which includes generic, drug delivery, and therapeutically focused small-cap and mid-cap pharmaceutical companies.
His investment approach seeks out companies with unique differentiable products, a business plan that makes sense, a capable management team that can execute effectively, and a justifiable valuation.
Mr. Uhl previously covered the sector at Wells Fargo Securities; Leerink Swann & Company, a Boston-based healthcare investment banking boutique; Salomon Brothers; and Curran Capital Management, a healthcare hedge fund.
Mr. Uhl received his B.S.
in microbiology from Purdue University and his M.B.A.
in international business from the University of South Carolina.
