Roger Claes

Roger Claes ( o1946), masters degree in electronics and applied mathematics, acquired extensive experience as R&D manager and general manager at GTE Sylvania (Precision Materials).
As R&D manager, he was responsible for, among other things, product development, manufacturing automation, and applications engineering.
As general manager, he led the GTE Electronic Component Division in Tienen (B) from 1980 to 1986.
Since 1986 he has been an investment manager and later also managing partner of the Euroventures Benelux Team, where he focused on the guidance of investments in the IT sector (microelectronics, semiconductor manufacturing equipment for, Surface Acoustic Wave devices, identification technology, medical electronics, telematics,).
He was one of the founders of the Belgian Venture Association (BVA) and served as a member of the executive board of EVCA, the European Venture Capital Association from ‘87-‘91.
