SBI Funds Management Ltd. (SBIFM) is an independent India-based mutual fund management firm which was founded in 1992 as a joint venture between State Bank of India (63%) and Societe Generale SA (37%) in France. In 2009, Societe Generale and Credit Agricole SA merged their global asset management businesses, and in 2011, Amundi SA (owned 75% by Credit Agricole and 25% by Societe Generale) acquired Societe Generale's stake. Headquartered in Mumbai, SBIFM actively manages investor's assets not only through their investment expertise in domestic mutual funds, but also through offshore funds and portfolio management advisory services. Axis Asset Management Co. Ltd. (Axis AMC) is the fund management subsidiary of Axis Bank Ltd. (BOM: 532215, NSE: AXISBANK) in India. Headquartered in Mumbai, Axis AMC was founded in 2009 and manages a range of equity, debt and hybrid mutual funds for individual and institutional investors.
