Thami Nompula

After qualifying as a Development Planner,Thami worked both in the public and private sectors.
He started his career working as a Planner for a boutique planning and development consultancy in Johannesburg.
His career then took a different turn and he moved into the humanities, namely training, change management and human resources management in the financial services, management consulting and logistics industries.He then joined the public sector in the role of an Organisational Development Advisor where he was part of a team responsible for amalgamating three regulatory authorities to form one regulator responsible for primary energy in the country and bedding the change until the organisation was fully functional.
After successfully bedding the project he joined a business chamber where he was the executive responsible for enterprise development, a role that included stakeholder management, international relations, membership administration, training, advocacy and event management.
He was then appointed CEO of the country’s teachers’ union investment company for five years where he grew the investment portfolio and repositioned the company as an acquisitive private equity investor.
In 2020 he joined Pamodzi Group as head of the oil and gas division and due to the diversity of the group was later appointed group executive responsible for business development.
