Mr. Wood was beginning as an analyst for ING Barings Securities in Tokyo in 1994, where he served as senior economist and analyst for the financial and telecommunications sectors.
Subsequently, he joined JP Morgan Fleming in London as a portfolio manager for Japanese equities and then served as analyst/portfolio manager for Tokyo-based Whitney & Co., a leading Japanese hedge fund.
Mr. Wood received a BA in Asian studies from Pomona College and an MA in international relations from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
