Tony Abreu

Mr. Tony Abreu is an Senior Investment Manager at Butterfield Bank (Channel Islands) Ltd.
He has over 25 years of experience in Stockbroking and Investment Management.
Mr. Abreu joined the firm as part of the acquisition of ABN AMRO (Channel Islands) Limited.
He started his career in 1991 with stockbroker Barclays de Zoete Wedd (BZW).
Following the purchase of BZW by Credit Suisse First Boston in 1998, he gained promotion to Vice President of CSFB (Guernsey) and subsequently joined SG Hambros Securities in 1999 as an Investment Manager.
Following a 4 year period of trading the financial markets for himself, he re-joined SG Hambros in 2004.
As a Senior Investment Manager, Mr. Abreu advised on various asset class committees and managed bespoke and discretionary portfolios across a diverse range of mandates.
In 2009, he was given responsibility to establish the SG Hambros Managed Advisory service in the Channel Islands.
Mr. Abreu is a Chartered Member of the CISI and holds the Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM) and SFA Futures & Options qualifications along with a Statement of Professional Standing.
