William O. Bell

Mr. William O.
Bell is a Director at Advanced Investment Partners LLC since 2009.
He is the current Chairman of the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association Advisory Committee and teaches regularly at the FPPTA Trustee School.
Prior to joining AIP, Mr. Bell served as Managing Partner at Westwood Distributors where he was responsible for marketing investment and consulting services to plan sponsors.
Before working with Westwood, he spent 16 years as the Chief of Management Policy at the Florida State Board of Administration.
In this role, he was responsible for investment management selection, consultant relations, investment policy development, contract development, legislative liaison, and corporate governance.
He developed investment policy guidelines for the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe fund and the Florida College Prepaid Fund.
In addition, he served as the Chief of Cabinet Affairs for the Florida Treasurer and Insurance Commissioner where he worked in the State Department of Administration under Governors Reubin Askew and Bob Graham.
He began his career as Vice President of Peoples Bank in Tallahassee.
Mr. Bell is a past member of several investment/advisory committees which include: The Executive Committee of the Council of Institutional Investors, The Investment Advisory Committee for the City of Tallahassee Retirement Fund, and The Sinking Fund Commission, where he served three terms.
He is the Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Athletic Foundation and Booster Foundation at Florida State University and serves on the Finance and Budget Committee for The Florida Presbytery.
In addition, he serves on the Investment Committee and is on the Board of Directors of the Westminster Communities of Florida.
