Indira V. Samarasekera is Associate of National Academy of Engineering and Member of The Trilateral Commission and on the board of 14 other companies.

Dr. Samarasekera previously held the position of Chairman of Worldwide Universities Network, Member of Science, Technology & Innovation Council, President & Vice Chancellor at the University of Alberta and Vice President-Research at the University of British Columbia.

She received a doctorate from the University of British Columbia, a graduate degree from the University of California, an undergraduate degree from the University of Colombo and an undergraduate degree from the University of Ceylon.
