Christine Aquino

As Head of Team & Organizational Development at Village Capital, Christine works on creating a workplace that attracts, retains, and develops a diverse, talented, and productive team that is vital to VilCap’s success.
She’s particularly passionate about infusing VilCap’s DE & I values into all aspects of people operations and leads cross-functional team collaboration.
Christine joined Village Capital from Sightline Media Group, where she held various leadership positions across business operations and marketing.
She was recently head of strategic projects where she focused on people strategy to attract and retain journalists for the largest national security newsroom in the U.S.
Prior to that, she held communications and marketing roles in real estate, healthcare, and issue advocacy communications.
Outside of work, Christine is a busy mom to two teen-aged kids.
In her spare time, she volunteers with a humanitarian organization, on stakeholder engagement and employee-led initiatives around DE&I and workplace culture.
She’s a graduate of the University of the Philippines and received her Masters from Georgetown University.
Christine lives in Virginia with her husband, two kids, and her fur baby.
