Corbin Cook

Corbin Cook is a founding partner at Rise Run Capital and a member of the investment committee.
Corbin co-leads the private equity investment team and serves as one of the firm’s representatives on the boards of the firm’s portfolio companies.
Prior to founding Rise Run Capital in 2019, Corbin worked in Corporate Development for Hilltop Holdings (NYSE: HTH), a financial holding company for Plains Capital Bank, Prime Lending and Hilltop Securities.
In 2012, he led the sale of Plains Capital Corporation to Hilltop Holdings, which subsequently acquired First National Bank of Edinburg in an FDIC-assisted transaction.
Corbin began his career in Mergers & Acquisitions at UBS Investment Bank in the Financial Institutions Group.
While at UBS in New York, Corbin executed transactions for CME Group/NYMEX, Butterfield Bank of Bermuda and The Royal Bank of Canada.
Corbin graduated from Vanderbilt University with honors, earning both a Bachelor of Science in political science and human & organizational development.
He earned his MBA from The Cox School of Business with Beta Gamma Sigma Honors in finance.
Corbin enjoys fly fishing and travelling with his family.
He lives in Dallas with his wife and their two sons.
