David B. Black

David Black (HC/FT), a Technology Partner at Oak HC/FT, joined the firm in 2014 and assists in evaluating potential investments and works closely with portfolio companies to help them succeed by, among other things, applying his knowledge of technology patterns.
Prior to joining Oak HC/FT, David served as Technology Partner of Oak Investment Partners where he worked closely with a number of Healthcare and FinTech companies and several other investments across various industry verticals.
David also served as CTO of Paysys, which become the private label and international payment processing platform for the largest payment processor in the world, FDC.
In addition, he has worked in other Oak Investment Partner domains, including consumer internet, analytics and mobile.
This work involved him in cloud computing, big data and security and other subjects that impact Healthcare and FinTech companies.
David received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Harvard College.
