Army Europe Headquarters, Heidelberg, Germany.
He received a Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law in 1965 and is a member of the Alabama Bar and the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.
He is a 1968 graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers University.
