He then went on to Morgan Stanley Canada Limited, primarily in the areas of fixed-income research and institutional sales.
Prior to forming his own investment counsel firm, he was a partner at Beutel Goodman & Co., where he served as vice-president of fixed income investments and portfolio manager.
He has also served as a director of The Toronto Society of Financial Analysts and is a former vice president of the Toronto Futures Exchange.
He earned his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from McGill University in 1971 and his MBA from the Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania in 1973.
