James Michael van de Voorde

Mr. James M.
van de Voorde is a President & Chief Executive Officer at Osher van de Voorde Investment Management.
He co-founded in 1993 by van de Voorde and his long-time business partner and mentor Bob Osher.
is responsible for designing and implementing investment and financial planning strategies for clients.
He developed the firm's valuation model that helps identify suitable investment opportunities and is responsible for the construction of client portfolios, including security selection and sector allocation.
James brings a strong background in financial planning to the investment management business and pioneered the OVIM "Bridge Evaluation", a comprehensive approach to planning that offers a clear overview of life priorities and planning goals, ensures that investment portfolios are properly aligned with those goals and minimizes exposure to unnecessary risk.
He has served on the Foundation and Governing Boards at Glendale Adventist Medical Center and the Alumni Board and LionsFund Council at Loyola Marymount University.
He graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, completed the U.C.
Berkeley Extension financial planning coursework and is a Certified Retirement Counselor.
He is a member of the Economic Round Table, CFA Society of Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Valley Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and the Glendale Estate Planning Council.
