Mr. Joe Gil is a Managing Director at Morgan Creek Capital Management LLC.
Prior to joining Morgan Creek, he was a Director of Alternative Investments at Morgan Stanley where he was responsible for over a $1 billion in asset allocations in Alternative Investments.
He helped develop client- specific asset allocation methodologies with the goal of managing risk via the integration of non-correlated Alternative investments.
Prior to Morgan Stanley Mr. Gil was a Partner and/or Principal in several hedge funds with direct investment experience in: Long/Short Equity, PIPEs, Derivatives, Convertible Securities and Venture Capital.
Additionally his experience includes executing mergers and acquisitions for Bank of America's Corporate Development Department and serving as the Manager of Specialized Investments for Bank of America's Private Banking Group where he developed and marketed Alternative Investment Products for its high-net worth clients.
He began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York where he rose to Controller in the Global Trading Department.
Mr. Gil received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a major in Finance, from Boston University School of Management.
He holds Series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses.
