Mr. Balser was a founding partner of Generation Partners in 1995, remains a partner of its first fund and served in an advisory capacity and co-invested as a special limited partner in its second fund.
Prior to founding Generation Partners, he was a founding Partner of Centre Partners, the managing general partner of Centre Capital Investors.
Before that, Mr. Balser was a managing director of J.
Henry Schroeder Banking Corp.
Throughout his 43 year career, he has been a highly successful investor in a wide variety of industries.
He also served on the board at Kansas City Southern Industries, Inc. Mr. Balser is a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Spanish, and attended New York University Graduate Business School while working full-time from 1964 to 1969.
