Mr. Peter E.
Metcalfe, CFA, is a Principal & Co-Chief Investment Officer at RP Investment Advisors LP.
He leads the RP Select Opportunities and RP SPAC strategies and is accountable for the firm’s non-investment-grade allocations across all strategies.
Before he was appointed Co-CIO, he was the Head of High Yield.
He joined the firm in 2012 and is a member of the Investment Committee and Risk Committee.
Mr. Metcalfe was previously employed as a Managing Director by TD Securities (USA) LLC, where he was a senior member of the Credit Products Group, working in London and New York.
In his thirteen years with TD, he held steadily increasing responsibilities managing risk capital within a multi-strategy trading group.
He spent the majority of his career as head of US proprietary credit trading operations, encompassing credit, convertible, and capital structure arbitrage.
He brings a wealth of credit experience across global markets, from his involvement in the inception of the credit derivative markets to eventually running a multi-billion dollar credit portfolio.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a B.Comm.
from Queen’s University.
