Rafael Birnbaum

Rafael joined TCV in 2021 and focuses on investments in consumer internet and software.
He supports TCV’s investment in Miro.
Prior to TCV, Rafael worked for Citigroup’s technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) investment banking and equity capital market teams in London, where he advised on a variety of capital markets and M&A transactions.
Interests Rafael was born and raised in the south of Germany and moved to the U.K.
six years ago to study.
As he grew up near the Alps, he is passionate about hiking and skiing.
Due to the lack of mountains in central London, he is spending most of his free time playing tennis and trying to improve his golf game.
Education Rafael holds an M.Sc.
in Finance and Investment from the University of Edinburgh and a B.A.
in Business Administration from Cooperative State University Mannheim.
