Perez has been a Director of Alpharma, Inc. since May 2004 and is a Member of the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
He is Managing Director of Vela Management Group Ltd.
Previously, Mr. Perez held various executive and senior management positions with Cardinal Health, Inc., including President of Specialty Pharmaceutical Products and Services from 2000 to 2003, Executive Vice President of Supply Chain Services from 1996 to 1999 and Senior Vice President of Purchasing from 1994 to 1995.
He held various senior management positions at Baxter International, Inc., including Vice President-Reengineering Team from 1993 to 1994, Vice President of Corporate Alliances from 1991 to 1993, Vice President of Purchasing for the Hospital Supply Division from 1990 to 1991 and Vice President of Marketing for the Hospital Supply Division from 1987 to 1990.
