Richard McGaw has been a Director of the Bank of Canada since March 2008.
He has been a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of New Brunswick since 1974.
He was Labour Arbitrator, Contract Negotiator, and Adviser of the New Brunswick MLA Compensation Review.
Mr. McGaw was a Member at the University Senate and Chairman of Collective Bargaining for the Canadian Association of University Teachers.
Previously, he was President of the Faculty Association and the New Brunswick Federation of Faculty Associations.
Mr. McGaw received a PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester in 1978.
