Robert Loren Polak

Mr. Robert L.
Polak is Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer at Anchor Bolt Capital LP.
He has over 23 years of industry experience of which 20 have been on the buy side.
Prior to founding Anchor Bolt Capital, he was a portfolio manager at Citadel Investment Group where he ran the Global Industrials business for five years (February 2005 to April 2010).
At Citadel, he built and led a team that at its peak consisted of 13 people including 10 investment professionals.
Over his tenure, he managed assets that approximated $3.0 billion.
Prior to Citadel, he worked as a buy side analyst at Copper Arch Capital in New York and NWQ Investment Management in Los Angeles where he primarily followed industrial and energy-related companies.
He began his career in investment banking in 1995 at Salomon Brothers.
He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from UCLA where he was a Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Cum Laude.
