Mr. Ronald E.
Perry is a Senior Vice President & Portfolio Manager at Nuveen Asset Management LLC.
He manages separate accounts for the Municipal Fixed Income Team.
Mr. Perry joined the firm in 2013 from Western Asset Management Company’s municipal bond group where he was in a leadership role dedicated primarily to the municipal separately managed account business.
He began his career in the financial industry in 1977 and spent 30 years at Western and its predecessor companies.
More specifically, in 1983, Mr. Perry joined E.F.
Hutton’s high net worth municipal retail advisory group.
In 1987, this effort was moved within the firm to Hutton Asset Management, which is credited for starting the industry’s first fee-based, discretionary portfolio management business model.
Mr. Perry was with Hutton Asset Management and subsequent firms since 1987, having gone through numerous acquisitions (Shearson Lehman Hutton, Greenwich Street Advisors, Smith Barney Asset Management, Citi Asset Management and ultimately Legg Mason).
Mr. Perry earned a B.A.
in sociology and anthropology from Dowling College.
