Scott Naisbitt

Dr. Naisbitt brings a broad background in molecular biology, neuroscience and clinical medicine to RiverVest.
He serves as a board observer at Auxeris Therapeutics, Inc. and Kereos, Inc., both RiverVest portfolio companies.
Prior to joining RiverVest, Dr. Naisbitt was an associate of Seedling Enterprises, a medical device fund and incubator, where he performed early-stage investment diligence and product development.
He is co-inventor of a novel electrosurgical instrument successfully sold to a major pharmaceutical and medical device company.
Dr. Naisbitt worked in research labs at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital and the University of Utah.
He has 13 original research publications, including the cloning and elucidation of the first physical bridge coupling NMDA and metabotropic glutamate receptors to each other and to postsynaptic signaling molecules, essential mechanistic components of learning and memory.
Dr. Naisbitt holds an M.D.
and Ph.D.
from the Harvard-M.I.T.
Division of Health Sciences and Technology, where he was awarded an N.I.H.
Medical Scientist Training Program Scholarship from Harvard Medical School.
He also holds a B.S.
in physics and mathematics from the University of Utah.
