Mr. Strong, who began his career at Union Trust Company and soon moved onto the Trust Department of State Street Bank and Trust Company, has had a career spanning more than 45 years in investment management.
Prior to joining Eaton Vance in 1979, he was a Senior Vice President with John P.
Chase, which was owned by Phoenix Investment Counsel of Boston.
Mr. Strong earned a B.A.
from Harvard College in 1953.
He served as Vice President of the Big Brother Association of Boston and a Trustee of the Wang Center for the Performing Arts, also in Boston.
