Mr. Hektor is the founder and a Partner at New 2ND Capital and is responsible for firm management.
Prior to New 2ND Capital, Mr. Hektor spent eighteen years at AlpInvest Partners (and its predecessors) where he founded, built and led the firm’s secondary program, starting with a single employee and ending his tenure with approximately 25 investment professionals and over $8.5bn of capital invested.
Throughout his tenure at AlpInvest Partners, Mr. Hektor has served in many roles, including Member of the Operating Committee, Observer on the Board and Chairman of the Global Investment Committee where he oversaw investments made by the secondary, primary funds and co-investment groups.
Prior to AlpInvest Partners, Mr. Hektor was a direct private equity investor at Parnib after starting his career at De Nationale Investeringsbank.
Mr. Hektor has a Dutch Law Degree and a MSc in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
