Todd Young

Todd Young joined SG Cowen in October 2000 as a member of the hospital supply/medical technology research team.
Prior to joining SG Cowen, Dr. Young was a research assistant for Dr Benjamin Margolis at NYU Medical School, studying signal transduction in breast cancer cell lines, and was a research assistant for Dr. Robert Blank at The Hospital for Special Surgery studying the genetics of osteoporosis and osteogenesis imperfecta.
He received a B.A.
from Dartmouth College in 1992, attended the Columbia Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program in 1992-93, and received a degree in medicine from New York Medical College in 2000.
Dr. Young is primarily responsible for integrating with the investment community and representing the company on all relevant news, clinical developments, and operational progress.
Prior to joining Angiotech, Dr. Young was part of the medical device equity research team for three years at SG Cowen Securities in New York, focusing on the cardiovascular and orthopedic spaces.
Dr. Young received his medical degree from New York Medical College and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ecology and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College.
He was promoted to Vice President, Investor Relations and Communications in January, 2005
