Toshio Nishiyama

Mr. Nishiyama joined BFC in August 2006 from Shinkin Asset Management which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shinkin Central Bank.
At Shinkin, he served as President and is responsible for the management of asset management and investment trust company whose clientele is Japanese Shikin(S&L) and their clients.
Prior to that, Mr. Nishiyama was also President at Barclays Global Investors Japan Trust & Banking where he was responsible for the management of the trust bank and the administration of the whole BGI operations in Japan.
He began his career at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi where he spent twenty years and served in various roles, including SVP at Mitsubishi Bank Trust Company, New York and Trust Officer at Bank of California.
Mr. Nishiyama serves as a part-time lecturer at Keio University.
He received a LLM from Harvard Law School and a LLB from University of Tokyo.
