Trond Unneland

Dr. Trond Unneland is Managing Executive at Chevron Technology Ventures LLC.
Before joining Chevron in 2007, Dr. Unneland worked for Statoil as Vice President for Information Technology in Stavanger, Norway.
Over 16 years with Statoil he held engineering and management positions in exploration, offshore operations, and reservoir management.
He also worked for the Norwegian Industry Attaché at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General, San Francisco, CA.
A native Norwegian, he serves as Board of Director on two key Norwegian R&D government bodies, DEMO2000 and PETROMAKS.
Dr. Unneland holds a Masters degree in Reservoir Engineering from Stavanger University and a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science & Technology, Trondheim.
As part of his PhD work, he spent a year at Stanford University, CA as a visiting researcher.
