William K. H. Fung

Dr. William Fung is the Chairman of Maple Financial Group, Inc., a Member of the Supervisory Board of Maple Bank GmbH, a Member of the Investment Committee of Orthogonal Partners LLP, and a Member of the Index Committee, JP Morgan Alternative Beta Reference Index.
Prior to joining the investment banking profession in 1985 with Lehman Brothers, he taught finance for several years in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
Bill Fund was a Visiting Research Fellow at the London School of Economics and Manchester Business School.
He was likewise an Associate Professor of Finance at Rutgers University and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Finance at New York University.
He then moved to the investing side of the industry in 1991 leaving Bankers Trust Company and co-founded a hedge fund.
Dr. Fung left the hedge fund partnership during early part of 1994 and founded a consulting firm specializing in the risk management of hedge fund portfolios advising high net worth families, international private banks, foundations, and insurance companies.
Professor Fung is currently a Visiting Research Professor of Finance at the BNP-Paribas Hedge Fund Centre in London Business School.
He maintains active involvement in the financial industry and acts as advisor to financial services companies in Europe and North America.
William Fung was educated in England where he received his doctorate degree in Mathematics from the University of London, and subsequently a doctorate degree in Finance from the University of Manchester.
