Mr. Andrew Ashton is Chief Executive Officer at Franklin Templeton Investments (ME) Ltd.
Mr. Ashton was previously employed as Chief Executive Officer by Franklin Templeton Investment Trust Management Co., Ltd.
He rejoined Franklin Templeton Investments in 2004, after a short departure to an emerging market fund management business where he held the position of Chief Investment Officer.
During his tenure he was responsible for managing portfolios of approximately US$1bn in the domestic market and across global equity and fixed income portfolios.
In 2004, he was appointed to take on the management of Franklin Templeton's Alternative Strategies (FTAS) business outside the US.
Based out of London, he was responsible for AI product sales and sales strategy, AI product management and product specialist functions across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
As the CEO and Country Manager of the Korea office, he was responsible for Franklin Templeton's Korean business.
He completed his undergraduate studies in the UK, holds a BA in Business studies, an MBA (with distinction) from the Edinburgh University Management School, and has over ten years experience in the financial services industry.
