Dr. Brian E.
Thompson is a Chief Risk Officer & Founder at Alambic Investment Management LP.
From 1998 to 2002, Dr. Thompson was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and then Senior Member of Technical Staff at Lucent Technologies, Agere Systems and Legerity, Inc., successively.
For the 10 years prior to 1998, he was a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Kansas (tenured in 1993), and, from 1986 to 1988, he was a Member of Technical Staff at Analog Devices.
Dr. Thompson received his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1981, an MS degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1983, and a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, with a minor in Statistics, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986.
He was awarded the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation in 2008.
