In addition to the Floating Rate Debt Group, from 1992 to 1997 he managed Franklin's Principal Maturity Trust, a leveraged debt strategies fund.
His previous associations include Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company (now JPMorgan Chase) where he specialized in structuring and negotiating leveraged transactions, and Security Pacific National Bank (now Bank of America), where he structured and syndicated loans.
Mr. Lufkin earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from St. Lawrence University.
