Claire E. Toth

Prior to joining Point View, Ms. Toth was of Counsel to the law firm of Herold and Haines, P.A., in Warren, New Jersey.
Her practice centered on tax and business planning for closely held businesses and their owners.
Before that, Ms. Toth was a Branch Chief in the Office of Passthroughs and Special Industries with the IRS Chief Counsel in Washington.
She has a national reputation in the taxation of partnerships and S corporations.
Ms. Toth has been active in the ABA Tax Section and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
She has written for a number of publications, including The Tax Lawyer, the Journal of Limited Liability Companies, Taxation for Accountants, and the Journal of Asset Protection.
She speaks frequently before a variety of groups, ranging from the American Bar Association to the New York Society of CPAs.
Ms. Toth co-authored the recently enacted legislation permitting single member LLCs in New Jersey.
She is quoted regularly in periodicals such as Business News New Jersey and The Daily Record.
Ms. Toth received her A.B.
and J.D.
degrees from the University of Chicago, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
She has an M.L.T.
from Georgetown University and has received the Certified Planner designation from the CFP Board of Standards.
Active in the Summit community, Ms. Toth is Treasurer of the local Business and Professional Women's Club.
She also volunteers in the public schools, in her church, and with the University of Chicago.
An avid golfer, Ms. Toth participates in the Executive Women's Golf Association.
