Dan Norman Ginsparg

Mr. Dan N.
Ginsparg is Founder, President & Chief Investment Officer at Explorer Asset Management LLC.
He founded Explorer Asset Management in May 2002.
He began his investment career in 1989 at Boatmen’s Trust Company (BTC), now part of Bank of America Corp., as a portfolio manager and quantitative analyst.
He managed the quantitative research group at BTC and he was exclusively responsible for Small Capitalization investing there from 1991 to 1997.
He was the sole portfolio manager, from inception, of three Small Capitalization value funds at BTC, and grew their combined total assets to over $500 million by the time he left in mid 1997.
In early 1998, Mr. Ginsparg co-founded Parcon Advisory Group, LLC (PAG), as President and Chief Investment Officer.
He was exclusively responsible for management of the firm’s investment portfolios and research activities until his departure in early 2001.
At PAG, he was responsible for managing a long-only Small Cap value product and a long/short, market neutral, Small Cap product.
He joined Voyager Advisors (formerly Emergent Asset Management) in May 2001.
As Chief Investment Officer he was responsible for the management of the firm’s Small Cap and long/short portfolios and research activities.
He left Voyager in April 2002 to found Explorer Asset Management.
Mr. Ginsparg graduated from the University of Missouri in 1985 with a B.S.
degree in Business Administration and received his MBA degree in Finance and Operations Research from that University in 1988.
Mr. Ginsparg is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research, the St. Louis Society of Financial Analysts, and the Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA).
