Don R. Kelley

Prior to founding Verax Capital Partners in 2006, Mr. Kelley has been a chief investment officer for a private investment fund, a partner in an alternative investment fund, a partner in a global securities fund, an analyst in distressed/high yield securities and an entrepreneur.
From 2003-2006, he served as the chief investment officer for a private investment fund with in excess of $500 million in assets under management.
He made control and non-control investments in both public and private companies.
He was responsible for deal generation, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring.
From 1997-2003, Mr. Kelley worked for W.R.
Huff Asset Management Co., L.L.C.
which is a multi-billion dollar investment advisor.
During his tenure he was a partner in its alternative investment fund, which invested in both public and private companies, and a partner in its global securities fund.
He was responsible for deal generation, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring.
From 1990-1997, he was the president and founder of Kelley & Kelley, Inc. which was a surety and insurance brokerage business that served middle market companies in the northeast United States.
Mr. Kelley started his career with the United States Navy where he served as a nuclear reactor operator in the engineering division of a Navy fast attack submarine.
Mr. Kelley has been an observer to the Board of Directors of Hanover Direct.
He is also a member of the CFA Institute, the New York Society of Security Analysts, the Wharton Club of New York and the Wharton Private Equity Network.
Mr. Kelley received his BS degree (Business Administration) from the University of Phoenix and his MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.
He has also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
