Luiz Augusto Barros de Freitas

Luiz Augusto Barros de Freitas has been General Manager of Graphite Electrodes for GrafTech International Ltd.
since November 2006, after serving as General Manager-Advanced Graphite Materials since September 2005.
Previously, he was Director of Operations of Advanced Energy Technology, Inc. from January 2002 to September 2005 and Director of Operations-Advanced Graphite Materials for GrafTech International from March 2000 to December 2001.
Mr. de Freitas was Director of Worldwide Engineering for GrafTech International from February 1999 to March 2000.
He joined GrafTech's Brazilian subsidiary in 1975, after graduating from Federal University of the State of Bahia, Brazil with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
